Who Am I?

Hello, my name is Christian Wise and I grew up in a small town near Dallas Texas. Growing up I started playing video games when I was 5 years old and got my first computer when I was in 5th grade. In high school I discovered a game called Dark Souls and fell in love with the genre. During high school I worked on my associates of science and graduated with a high school diploma and an associates of science from collin college. I then went on to pursue a Bachelors degree of Marine Biology at Texas A&M Galveston because of my fascination with the ocean and it's creatures. Two years into the degree I realised how little hands on activity and discovery is actually involved in the related career options. I have always been someone who needs to constantly be creating or exploring. After leaving Texas A&M I came back home to find the college I got my associates from in highschool had a relativly new degree for Animation and Game Art. Because gaming has always been a large part of my life I decided to try it and see how it felt. Needless to say I quickly fell in love and have been animating and designing ever since.

What Have I Done?

Since starting my degree at Collin College I have done several animations ranging from a custom Pixar lamp animation playing with a ball to an attack sequence with a soldier and a greatsword. I am very experience with a wide variety of walk and run cycles. I have also completed some minor work in facial expressions. Other work I have completed are enviromental modeling including lamps, benches, and various other static objects. I have minor experience texturing the previously stated objects. I have also created a couple prototype games one by myself and another as the lead developer of a team of three.

Facts About Me

Because I graduated high school during the Covid Pandemic my high school bought out the Texas Motor Speedway and my class had a socially distanced graduation ceremony on the racetrack. The track felt like a microwave in that heat but it was an unforgettable experience!

Gaming has always been a large part of my life, so much that I dream about it! Most of the dreams I have had since middle school tend to be about either living in a video game or makng a video game that no one has thought of before. Maybe my subconcious was trying to tell me something way before I ever got into this field.

Because of my love for gaming I have made so many interesting friendships with people all around the globe. It's so cool learning about the cultural differences of where my friends live while killing zombies or mining diamonds. I have even made some awesome friendships with aspiring content creators. It's always a blast talking with other creative individuals!
